General Information

Please ensure you read and understand the following terms and conditions.

Whilst we reserve the right to increase or decrease accommodation prices at any time, we will confirm to you the current price at the time of booking. As soon as you have confirmed your booking and paid your deposit or full payment, the cost of the rental is guaranteed against any further increase, (unless these increases are brought about by Government action). This guarantee is offered subject to our conditions of payment being adhered to and providing you do not make any further amendments to your holiday arrangements.

Your holiday home rental includes: Accommodation as booked, including services e.g. gas, water and electricity, (excludes pool heating unless you have purchased it).

NOT included in our rental prices: a) Flights b) Car Hire c) Holiday Insurance d) Cost of pool heating, unless indicated.

  1. BOOKING AND PAYMENT:
    1. DEPOSIT:
      To confirm the booking, a deposit of 25% of the full rental cost for the period must be paid. Once payment is approved the booking is confirmed. Please check the confirmation and final invoice carefully and raise any queries immediately.

    2. PAYING YOUR BALANCE:
      The balance of the rental fee is due at least 10 weeks prior to the commencement of the rental period. We reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled if we do not receive the balance by the due date.

    3. CURRENCY:
      The prices shown are based on GBP (pounds Sterling) conversions to other currencies shown in this web site are for guidance only. Bookings will be charged in GBP and converted to other currencies by your credit card company and shown accordingly on your credit card statement.

  2. CANCELLATION:
    In the event that you cancel your booking for any reason whatsoever, the following charges will apply:

  3. ALTERATIONS TO BOOKINGS:
    If, after your booking has been accepted, you wish to alter your arrangements, we will do all we can to help but an administration fee of up to $50 per booking may be charged.

  4. RENTAL PERIOD:
    The rental period of the property begins at 4pm on the day of arrival. The property must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure, unless otherwise stated. Failure to comply may result in an additional charge levied for late departure.

  5. SUB-LETTING:
    The accommodation is reserved exclusively for the people named on the booking form, and no other persons whatsoever are permitted to stay there, unless this has been agreed with dreamofdisney in writing.

  6. SAFETY:
    The owners of the property or their agents cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever and howsoever caused for injury or damage caused as a result of the use of the pool, and the surrounding area. Guests are specifically requested not to allow unsupervised children to use the pool.

  7. FORCE MAJEURE:
    The owners of the property or their agents will not be liable for loss or delay occasioned by any of the following: strikes, riots, political unrest, hostilities, war or threat of war, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, fire, flood, technical/weather problems with transport, aircraft grounding, closure of airports or ports, weather conditions or any other event beyond the owner's or their agents' control.

  8. SECURITY / DAMAGE COVER
    Accidental Damage Insurance $45.00 USD per Home - Compulsory - policy attached
    Our Management Company, Columbus Vacation Villas are authorized suppliers of Travel Guard Accidental Damage Insurance. This insurance covers all accidental damage to the home up to a maximum of $1500. It does not include damage caused by smoking or by pets as we do not allow either in our homes.

  9. CHECK IN 4PM - CHECK OUT 10AM - LATE CHECK OUT
    I understand that dreamofdisney has rented this property on the terms that the property will be vacated by 10:00 AM on day of check out, and that I may be subject to a late check-out charge of $50 after 10am and an extra days rent after 12pm noon. Arrangements can sometimes be made for an early check in before 4.00pm - please contact dreamofdisney to make a request.

  10. SWIMMING POOL
    The swimming pool is for your enjoyment, please follow the pool rules, NO diving, NO running, No glass containers around the pool or patio area, NO diving or jumping. YOU are responsible for children, do not leave them unsupervised. DISCLAIMER: dreamofdisney is not liable for any injuries. Please consider the neighbours, especially at night, so NO screaming, shouting and loud music.

    The swimming pool is cleaned and maintained on a regular basis and there may be short periods just after cleaning when the pool is unavailable as the chemicals used disperse. Although there is a screen surrounding the pool, leaves and bugs may still fall in, please remember the pool is outdoors. There is a net and brush for your use to remove any unwanted debris from the pool. The bottom of the pool has a ‘diamond’ non slip finish. This is a typical finish and is accepted throughout the United States. It may feel slightly rough, it is not harmful but if it is uncomfortable wear swim slippers until you are used to the feel.

  11. POOL HEATING
    Pool heating once turned on, take approximately 24 hours to bring to temperature. Please be advised that during colder time periods, dreamofdisney will not be responsible for the pool heater automatic shut off system. During winter months should outside temperatures reach 55° or below the pool heater will automatically shut down. When the temperature reaches 55° they will automatically come back on again. Please be advised that dreamofdisney will not reimburse or refund any portion of pool heat payment if, due to the weather, the pool takes longer to heat up.

  12. TELEPHONE CALLS
    To call the management company, Five Palms Property Management, please use the toll free phone number 1-866-5PALMS5 - this number goes to the office during business hours. For genuine emergencies call 863-660-6336. In order to use the telephone in the home for all but local and toll free numbers you should purchase a phone card.

  13. EMERGENCY CALLS
    Calls to the emergency number after office hours where the situation is not an emergency, will be charged an $85 dollar fee. The after hours emergency number calls someone who is on call - not a call centre - so you may have to leave a message and wait for a return call.

  14. LOCK OUT
    Please enter and exit through the front door only. If you use any other door and subsequently lock yourself out there will be an $85 fee plus any further charges incurred by hiring a locksmith.

  15. BARBEQUE
    If available you are responsible for cleaning the barbeque before vacating.

  16. AGE RESRICTION:
    Guests must be 18 years or older to make the reservation - and an adult of 18 years or older must be staying in the home for the duration of the rental.

  17. PETS
    Pets are not allowed.

  18. HOUSEKEEPING
    The property is self-catering. Cleaning is provided prior to your arrival and upon your departure. We have provided limited toilet paper and garbage bags - it is your responsibility to replenish the items as needed. Details of the garbage collection day can be found in the property.

  19. LAUNDRY
    The home is provided with sufficient linen and towels for your stay. A washer and dryer are available in the utility area for use during your stay.

  20. PEST CONTROL
    Due to the climate in Florida bugs can be a problem - please remember you are in the tropics and we cannot eliminate all bugs. The property is regularly treated with pest control, however, it is important to keep all foods closed or sealed. Please clear up all crumbs and spillages, both inside the property and surrounding the pool/patio area so insects are not attracted. We advise keeping all doors closed to stop unwanted bugs entering the property

  21. AIR CONDITIONING
    This property is fully air conditioned; by keeping all the windows and doors closed it will automatically maintain a constant cool temperature. The thermostat is set between 73 and 76 degrees, temperatures set any lower will cause the air conditioning system to freeze. Please do not attempt to adjust the thermostat.

  22. TOILETS
    Toilets in Florida are susceptible to blockages due to the smaller diameter of the drainage pipe and lower water pressure. To prevent blockages please only flush toilet paper.

  23. SMOKING POLICY
    This is a non-smoking property. You must refrain from smoking at any time anywhere in or on the property.

  24. TRASH CANS
    Please remember to check the home for the notice with the days of trash collection. Bins need to be placed at the curb side no earlier than 4pm on collection days and returned inside the garage or at the side of the house no later than 9pm the following day. The community will fine homeowners if trash cans are out outside these times - these fines will passed on to you if you do not comply.
